Lizbette Alcantara
D.M.D.
Dr. Lizbette Alcantara was born in Astoria Queens, New York. In 2009, she graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Farmingdale State College, where she also later obtained her bachelor’s degree in Science & Technology with a minor in Chemistry. After working as a hygienist for several years, Dr. Alcantara achieved her dream to provide additional dental treatment to patients by advancing her education and earing her DMD degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2020. While at Tufts she completed the Advanced Periodontology program.
Dr. Alcantara completed a General Practice Residency in New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital where she enriched her clinical training.
Her passion to serve prompted her to volunteer in many community service events and participate in various Global Service Learning trips. She has provided dental services in Guatemala, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. She takes pride in being able to give back to global as well as local communities.
In her free time, Dr. Alcantara loves to travel, learn about different cultures and foods, and spend time with her family
